Not a man for pomp or over sentimentality, yet no family could feel more loved. He has been the cement on which we have built our lives. He was always there no matter what, no problem too big to help with, no achievement too small to rejoice in. Reliable, as a rock. He had a very high intellect and to everyone who knew him he was the fountain of knowledge, knowing everything about everything. He was a most modest, dignified man who carried out his public duties to the highest level of integrity and professionalism, never boastful except when telling of his 8 grand children.
